Planned Parenthood’s expansion in Charlotte is uniting grassroots organizations, pro-life groups, and Catholic and Protestant congregations in response.

Following the July 16 news of Wen’s firing, pro-life leaders remarked that the organization was upset the physician had emphasized the need to expand Planned Parenthood services beyond abortion.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has told Planned Parenthood officials it will not renew the facility’s license expiring May 31 unless the clinic makes changes to comply with various state health regulations.

The story is emotional, and at times difficult to watch. But perhaps even more remarkable than the movie are the hysterical attacks on it from some film critics.

The Trump administration Feb. 22 finalized its “Protect Life Rule” preventing funds appropriated under the Title X Family Planning Program from being used in services that include abortion as a method of family planning or that make abortion referrals.

The Supreme Court’s decision May 29 not to hear a case against an Arkansas abortion law, thus letting the state’s restrictions on abortion-inducing drugs stand, will have broad impact, say those on both sides of the issue.
