Nine individuals from five ACCs are planning a “Healing the Whole Person” video series, offering emotional, physical and spiritual healing experiences.

Retreats are a time away from our normal activities to spend time getting reacquainted with God, to examine the priorities of life and to make concrete and practical resolutions for improvement. Retreats can be a powerful step toward personal conversion.

With their Jubilee passports and a medal depicting the Holy Spirit in hand, 16 Confirmation students and their sponsors from St. John’s Church in Foley and St. Patrick’s Church in Minden Township pilgrimaged together visiting diocesan holy sites March 2.

Being a Catholic in the world of media doesn’t mean that we need to change our faith, but just to go deeper. “We have to know that we need God in order to be a media apostle.”

The author builds each day’s chapter around a “traveling companion” saint whose life bore witness to the beatitudes. The “merciful” are represented by St. Maria Goretti, who forgave her murderer; “the meek” by St. Maximilian Kolbe; “the peacemakers” by St. Óscar Romero; the “clean of heart” by St. Charbel Makhlouf.

Nearly a year after ground was broken, Pacem in Terris Hermitage Retreat Center is opening three new individual prayer cabins for guests, bringing the total number of hermitage spaces to 22.

“God Is Beauty: A Retreat on the Gospel and Art” is comprised of the retreat, given by then-Bishop Karol Wojtyla during Holy Week 1962, an introduction, commentary and reflections by various contributors.

Construction will begin in June on the new prayer cabins and is expected to be completed in September so that they can be used for the fall season.
