Saint John’s University

As tens of thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square and throughout Vatican City, watch parties popped up on the campuses of Saint John’s University, the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary.

Seven students from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University were welcomed into the Catholic Church April 27.

It took a crew of around 50 volunteers, staff and colleagues to make the event happen. Students constructed an altar made of snow and ice that also featured luminaries and tiki torches.

On the evening of Oct. 20, Bishop Patrick Neary celebrated the 9 p.m. student Mass at Saint John’s Abbey Church.
