The Benedictine monks of Saint John’s Abbey will officially dedicate a brand new 30,000 square foot woodworking shop, which also will be home to Abbey Organ Builders.

Benedictine Father Brennan (Charles) Maiers, 86, died July 22 in the retirement center at St. John’s Abbey, Collegeville. The monks, family, and friends will receive the body on Wednesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, in St. John’s Abbey and University Church, with interment in the abbey cemetery.
