It’s hard to miss the 12-foot-by-7-foot icon of Christ Pantocrator (Ruler of All Things) above the abbot’s chair. The icon, completed just in time for Holy Week, was written by Benedictine Father Nathanael Hauser.

Father Donald LeMay died on March 11 in the retirement center at St. John’s Abbey. The monks, family, and friends will celebrate the Eucharist of Christian Burial for Father Donald at 3 p.m. on March 17 in the St. John’s Abbey and University Church. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery following the service.

Benedictine Father Chrysostom Andrew Kim, 92, died Dec. 17 in the retirement center at St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 21, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John’s Abbey and University Church with interment in the St. John’s Cemetery.
