Three men took the next step toward diaconate ordination Dec. 7 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Ruben Uribe Mejia from the Centered on Christ Area Catholic Community and John Bell from the Northern Cross Area Catholic Community were installed to the ministry of acolyte, the last step before being ordained a permanent deacon. Adrian Panther from the Come to the Water Area Catholic Community was installed to the ministry of reader.
Bishop Patrick Neary celebrated the installation of reader and acolyte during the 6 p.m. Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral Dec. 7.
