Training offered on Alzheimer’s, dementia

“Best Practices for Optimal Care in Alzheimer’s and Dementia” is the title of a training offered from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Windfeldt Room, CentraCare Health Plaza, St. Cloud. It is sponsored by the Faith Community Nurse Partnership of Central Minnesota.

A dementia expert will discuss best practices across the care continuum for patients with dementia including cognitive assessment, medication and non-medication treatments and patient and caregiver support. Because these and other chronic conditions affect faith communities, parishes should consider sending representatives to learn about dementia resources.

Cost of this training is $50; registration is limited and taken on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, call 320-255-5642 or email cch.education@centracare.com. The deadline to register or cancel is June 2. For more information, visit www.centracare.com, click on “Classes and Events,” then “Alzheimer’s.”
