St. Francis• St. Francis of Assisi Parish Festival begins with Mass with music by LaVerne & The Starlites at 10 a.m. in air-conditioned church. Chicken and ham dinner served indoors and outdoors starting at 11 a.m. Live music all day — LaVerne & The Starlites before the auction and the Slew Foot Family Band afterwards. Event includes food and beverage stands, fried bread, bingo, country store, fancywork, cake walk and games for kids. Live auction at 2:30 p.m. Grand raffle — over 100 prizes with four top prizes of $500 each — at 7:30 p.m. (St. Francis is located 10 miles N of Albany or 25 miles SW of Little Falls on State Hwy. 238.)
