Randall • St. James Parish August Fest begins with Mass at 10 a.m.Gorka’s chicken and ham dinner with sweet corn served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.Event includes food and refreshments, beer wagon, jumbo ice cream cones, music by DJ, country store, cake walk, bingo, face painting, games and “table of toys” raffle for kids and a silent and live auction at 3 p.m.Special hunters’ raffle for Whitetail War Chest filled with cap, coat, gloves, boots, socks, binoculars, knife, flashlight and thermos — topped off with Henry .44 magnum rifle.Grand raffle drawing at 4:30 p.m. — top prizes $2,000, $1,000, two $500 — approximately $10,000 in cash and prizes.
