Friday, February 3

Greenwald • St. John’s/St. Andrew’s School of Meire Grove/Greenwald sponsors Steak and Wine Dinner at Greenwald Pub. Dinner — choice of steak or walleye fillet (with baked potato) or Chicken Cordon Bleu (with rice) — and salad bar served from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Dine-in, takeout or curbside pick-up available. For tickets, more information or to donate an auction item, call the school at 320-987-3133. Tickets also available at the door. Online auction continues through Thursday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. (Dinner repeated with live music by Donny Brang from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and live auction starting at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.)

Wadena • Cor Jesu (Heart of Jesus) First Friday Novena at 6:30 p.m. at St. Ann Parish with Father Aaron Kuhn. Event includes Mass, adoration and reconciliation.

Sunday, February 5

Foley • St. John’s Area School sponsors Soup Fest from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in school gym. Dinner features “signature soups” from local restaurants, breadsticks and dessert. Gluten/dairy free soup option available. (Free will offering.)

St. Joseph • Knights of Columbus hosts a breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Heritage Hall, St. Joseph Church. Menu includes scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, fruit, pancakes and caramel and cinnamon rolls. Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. (Credit cards accepted.)

Monday, February 6

St. Joseph • Fare for All food distribution, which sells packages of fruits, vegetables and frozen meats, is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 610 Co. Rd 2. Program is open to everyone and does not require registration. Cash, credit, debit and EBT cards are accepted.

Tuesday, February 7

Foley • St. John’s Area School hosts an Open House event for pre-K, kindergarten and new students (through grade 6) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. To make an appointment or for more information, call the school at 320-968-7972. (Event repeated on Thursday, Feb. 16.)

St. Joseph • The Spirituality Center at St. Benedict’s Monastery hosts “Peace, the Contemplative Life, and Sustainable Living” from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today and Feb. 14 and 21. Led by Benedictine Oblate Becky Van Ness and Benedictine Sister Mara Faulkner, participants will discuss “The Many Sides of Peace: Christian Nonviolence, the Contemplative Life, and Sustainable Living” by Brayton Shanley. They will explore how nonviolent love can transform our environmentally-threatened planet and its combative people, including ourselves. (Participants will need to purchase the book.) Fee is $75. Saturday, February 11

Upsala • Valentine Mass and Meal at St. Mary Church starts with Mass at 5 p.m., social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by candlelit dinner. Meal includes choice of prime rib or roasted chicken with garlic cream sauce, potato, vegetable, salad and dessert. $60/couple. Sunday, February 12 

St. Cloud • Holy Spirit Parish Breakfast Buffet featuring ham, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cinnamon and caramel rolls and fruit served from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m.)

St. Cloud • St. Peter Parish Breakfast featuring ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cinnamon and caramel rolls and fruit served from 8 a.m. to noon. (Roses handed out while the supply lasts.)
