“The Spirituality of the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous” Retreat — St. Joseph, St. Benedict’s Monastery

St. Joseph • “The Spirituality of the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous” retreat begins this evening at 7 p.m. and ends at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Spirituality Center at St. Benedict’s Monastery. This retreat focuses on two prayer practices as a means of “increasing our conscious contact with God” (step 11), which leads to “happiness, joy and freedom.” Event also includes time for silence and conversation, the practice of lectio divina (a meditative way of reading) and centering prayer (meditative prayer). Members of AA, NA, ACOA, Al-Anon and anyone interested in learning more is welcome. The fee is$250, which includes meals and overnight accommodations.
