“All In”- Youth from across the diocese gather for the 29th annual Senior High Youth Rally

At the annual youth rally, young people from across the diocese gather to celebrate their faith with one another. During the rally, Nashville-based singer, song writer and speaker, Sarah Hart, gave the keynote presentation. Her talk included stories of people from the Bible that were “all in,” who said yes to God even when it was hard. She also included contemporary characters that young people know now, like Wonder Woman and Taylor Swift.

“Sometimes for young people there’s a disconnect form Scripture, ” she said. “These things happened 2,000 years ago and how does that relate to me? Part of that is to make sure that they understand that God is relevant today. If you bring in an image that’s relevant today and what’s happening now, and put it against what was happening then, you are in essence doing exactly what liturgy does, marrying ancient and new. For me it’s all about making sure I meet kids where they are.”
