About 30 riders braved rainy weather Aug. 25 for the 18th annual motorcycle run for vocations. The event, which helps support seminarian education, began at Seven Dolors Church in Albany with a tour and prayers. The route took the riders through St. Anna, Avon, Richmond, St. Martin and New Munich, ending back at Seven Dolors for a hog roast dinner. With fewer riders than usual, the event still raised over $500 for vocations, according to Father Mitchell Bechtold, who helped organize the ride. “There is a lot of comeradery and enthusiasm within the motorcycle community,” he said. “Rain or shine, we are ready to ride, especially for a good cause.”
