“This will show how courage and devotion are linked to saintliness,” said Sister Jozefa Krupa, spokeswoman for the Congregation of Sisters of St. Elizabeth, the religious order to which the women belonged.
Called “Journeying Together,” the program focuses on bringing together young adults from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds to discuss their experiences in the U.S. Church and begin a strategy of how to make their voices heard as the church moves forward.
Highlighting the importance and gifts of older people has been a constant refrain throughout Pope Francis’ ministry.
