Hundreds gathered at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Hundreds gathered at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud Dec. 29 to officially open the Jubilee Year with its theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.” Vicar General Father Scott Pogatchnik celebrated the Mass with priests of the diocese concelebrating. The liturgy began in the lower church with readings from John’s Gospel and the Bull of Indiction of the Jubilee Year. Those gathered then processed outside to the front steps of the Cathedral where the Jubilee Cross was presented. This Jubilee Year will officially open at the dioc This Jubilee Year will officially open at the diocesan level tonight, Sunday, December 29, the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, with a solemn Mass for Opening the Jubilee Year at the Cathedral of St. Mary in St. Cloud at 6 pm, beginning in the lower level.
