St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Ramsey, Minnesota, is organizing the annual Pedal Pilgrimage starting and ending at Assumption (Grasshopper) Chapel in Cold Spring.
Bicyclers will gather at 4 p.m., Aug. 15 — the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary — for prayer at the base of Chapel Hill in Cold Spring and then continue to Richmond, Jacobs Prairie and Rockville, a 23-mile ride combining spiritual and physical exercise.
The pilgrimage concludes with Mass at Assumption Chapel in Cold Spring.
The chapel is located off of Highway 23 east of Cold Spring — turn onto Chapel St., follow signs to Pilgrimage Road and find the chapel nestled in trees.
The Pedal Pilgrimage is open to people of all faith traditions. The registration fee is $10. Early bird registrants may order a Pedal Pilgrimage T-shirt.
