Each year, the Diocese of St. Cloud organizes a Mass to honor first responders. At this year’s Mass, first responders were honored for their service and sacrifice, particularly on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Bishop Donald Kettler presided at the liturgy, which was held Sept. 11 at St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring. In his homily, Bishop Kettler called first responders modern-day Good Samaritans and instruments of God’s mercy.
