Youth and adults from around the Diocese of St. Cloud gathered for the 2022 Castaway retreat March 25-27 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The 160 participants spent a weekend filled with prayer, skits, speakers, music and Mass with Bishop Donald Kettler. 160 youth and adults from across the diocese attended the Castaway Retreat this past weekend, March 25-27, 2022 in Detroit Lakes.
Bishop Kettler made a special appearance during the Castaway Retreat on Saturday evening to celebrate the Mass.
Castaway Youth Leadership Team members led participants in creative meal prayers.
The speaker for the weekend was Matt Kehrer, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, from Christ Our Light
Weekend entertainment included a “Silent Disco” where participants wore special headphones that played their choice of music genre (indicated by color) while the space remained relatively quiet.
Students joined the praise band on stage to help with actions on various songs throughout the weekend.
