Sophia program session planned for February

A Sophia Program session starts at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, and continues through 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Spirituality Center at St. Benedict’s Monastery in St. Joseph.

An ecumenical opportunity to partner with women who serve in various church-related ministries, including pastoral care, administration, education, faith formation, chaplaincy or liturgy, the Sophia Program provides ongoing spiritual formation and support.

The program encourages women to deepen their relationships with God, the persons whom they serve and with whom they collaborate in service. It creates a safe and supportive environment for them to experience spiritual companionship, reflect on the experience of ministry as it relates to their own spiritual growth, and explore how their spirituality shapes and influences their ministry.

Participants commit to meet three sessions a year for two years from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening. The cost per session is $150 and includes meals. Sponsorship assistance is available. For more information, contact Sister Mary Catherine Holicky at 320-363-7028 or mholicky@csbsju.edu. Applications are due Feb. 6 at https://sbm.osb.org/event/sophia-program.
