Employees of the diocese contributed donations and procured two tickets for the Sept. 9 season opener between the Packers and the Chicago Bears for David Marosek, who had been battling stage 4 rectal cancer since July 2016.

St. Mary’s in Breckenridge celebrated the grand St. Mary’s in Breckenridge celebrated the grand opening of a new school and parish social hall Sept. 25. Bishop Patrick Neary celebrated the Mass and then cut the ribbon to officially open the building. This project, which has been in the works for about 10 years, connects the church and school with a social hall between. It includes classrooms for Pre-K to 8th grade and religious education, a music room, media center, chapel, a gym, a kitchen and cafeteria and offices for the school and church. St. Mary’s School currently serves nearly 175 students including Pre-K.
