Annual Farm Picnic — Pierz,Pierz Park

Pierz • Annual Farm Picnic begins at 1 p.m. at Pierz Park with free dinner including ham, sweet corn, potato salad, garden vegetables, freshly baked bread and ice cream. Thom Petersen, commissioner of agriculture, will discuss availability of zero-interest disaster recovery loans and Dr. Ken Engelhart, with Health Care for All Minnesota, will address remedies for the state’s rural health care crisis. (Tickets needed for free dinner are available at area businesses displaying Farm Picnic posters and at the picnic.)
