Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis

From Jan. 10 to Feb. 1, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will host “Vatican Unveiled,” an exhibit of the largest collection of papal artifacts outside of Rome, in celebration of the archdiocese’s 175th anniversary.

More than 2,500 people filled the Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota, on a sunny and warm April 11 to celebrate the episcopal ordination Mass of Bishop Michael J. Izen, and his appointment as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Pope Francis named Father Michael John Izen, a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis who has ministered in parishes and as a pastor in his nearly 18 years of priesthood, as the next auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese.

Moments after her son’s episcopal ordination Jan. 25, Mary Williams, 71, smiled with joy and relief while sharing her hopes as Bishop Joseph A. Williams began his new ministry as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
