Chinese Bishop Thaddeus Wang Yuesheng was ordained the bishop of Zhengzhou Jan. 25 with Pope Francis’ approval and in accordance with the agreement between the Holy See and China on the appointment of bishops.
Jean-Claude Duncan was ordained to the priesthood on Dec. 9 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud. He said of his faith journey, “My story might be atypical, but it is nothing in comparison to the work of God in the lives of each of us every day. Conversion is the process of trust we all must live daily.”

From Portland to Peru and many places in between, hundreds of people came to St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud Feb. 14 to witness the ordination and installation of the Diocese of St. Cloud’s 10th bishop, Bishop Patrick Neary, C.S.C., an Indiana native and priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Findings include the percentage of active vs. nonactive deacons; the archdioceses/dioceses and eparchies with the largest number of permanent deacons; sociocultural demographics; and ministerial involvement.
