Five members of the diocese’s Hispanic community were ordained to the permanent diaconate by Bishop Donald Kettler June 11 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. They are Jorge Armondo Carrillo-Ambriz and Jesus Hernandez Chavez from St. Mary Melrose, St. Mary in Melrose, Mario Mancilla from St. Leonard in Pelican Rapids, Carlos Pesqueda Silva from St. Mary of Mount Carmel in Long Prairie and Lorenzo Sanchez Rodriguez from Assumption in Morris.
