Bishop’s Annual Appeal

As Advent begins, Bishop Patrick Neary invites the faithful to walk together in hope, embracing accompaniment and shared mission while diocesan ministries and parish communities work to strengthen faith within families and across generations.

As we focus on the theme of grief and loss in September, the Diocese of St. Cloud offers ministries that support the needs of the people it serves and also asks where growth is still needed.

For the project, students were asked to design a faith enrichment activity to do with a small Christian community — six to 10 people in their parish — during Lent.

Anatol and Barbara Maciejny, who are originally from Poland, experienced life under Communism during which practicing their Catholic religion was forbidden.

People’s generosity — ‘Gifts offered by human hands’ — makes possible the work of appeal ministries.

Diocesan employees find creative ways to work from their homes to minister to God’s people during this time of coronavirus.

The 2020 Bishop’s Annual Appeal supports ministries that strengthen our Church, including Catholic education, faith formation, marriage preparation, family life, pastoral planning, multicultural ministries, ministry to the divorced and the TV Mass for the homebound.

Through ministries it supports, the Bishop’s Annual Appeal makes a difference in many people’s faith lives across the diocese.
