‘Vessels of Faith,’ with Steve Angrisano, caps final day of diocesan-wide retreat

Steve Angrisano, an internationally known Catholic composer, speaker and music missionary, will lead “Vessels of Faith,” a diocesan-wide retreat, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Mary Help of Christians Church in St. Augusta.

“Steve Angrisano will make you laugh and cry in the same story,” said Christine Pinto, the diocesan associate director for Faith Formation and one of the planners of the series. “He is a great speaker who reaches young and old alike and it is an honor to have him in our diocese.”

Participants will gather with other faith-filled disciples for prayer, learning, networking, laughter and celebrating the faith. The day offers an opportunity for all ages to renew their love of the Eucharist and reflect on being the Body of Christ in the world.

“My hope for the day is that people leave feeling refreshed and reconnected to the real presence of Jesus in our midst,” Pinto said. “The Eucharistic Revival in our diocese is named ‘Becoming Eucharist’ for a reason. I am hoping that by gathering with others in prayer, song, and storytelling we will recognize that we are the presence of Christ in our world today — we are called to be Eucharist in our family, parish, and community alike. Take advantage of this affordable opportunity to meet an international speaker and be reenergized in your faith.”

Morning hospitality begins at 9 a.m. Cost is $15, which includes lunch. Register at stcdio.org/2023-retreat-day. The registration deadline is at noon Oct. 23.
